Sensory Language

In english, we are doing a Matrix. A creative writing Matrix. One of the things we had to do was Sensory Language. Here is what I wrote

The moonlight glistened, reflecting off the lake in front of me. Quiet chatter floated from the ballroom, mixing with the soft slow music. I breathed deeply. The roses' pungent smell mixed with the pine trees that surround the property. The sound of footsteps reached my ears. The last thing I see is the lake quivering before a sack gets thrown over my head. A sickly sweet smell hits my nose, as I slowly black out.

I Smiled as I walked into the familiar bakery, the scent of baked goods hitting me at full force. The owner, A kind lady called Brie Mclean, smiles at me as I sit down at a cream colour table. The soundtrack to Dear Evan Hansen, plays softly. I get out my homework, and Mrs Mclean comes over with a small cake with a surprise smaller cake inside called so big so small.  I smile at her as she sets it down. I bit into it and chocolate floods my mouth. I smile as I swallow. This is my favorite shop EVER!

Ya. I know they are bad, but...... I. Don't. Care. I like the first one better. I think it has better Sensory Language, the second one, not so much. I like the idea of it, but the execution of it was not as good as it could have been.

Blood vessels

BLOOD! A very vital part of the body. It gives oxygen to the whole body. There are three main types of blood vessels. Arteries, veins and capillaries (not to be confused with caterpillars.)  Image result for arteries and veins and capillaries

The Arteries take the oxygenated blood away from the heart. The blood going through here is under high pressure so the walls of the arteries are very thick. They also have a narrow bore (hole). Arteries appear red when viewed  through the skin.

Veins on the other hand, take deoxygenated blood to the heart. The blood is under low pressure so veins have thinner walls, and a large bore (hole). Valves keep the blood moving in the right direction. Veins appear blue when viewed under the skin, because of the refraction of light through the skin.

Capillaries are in between arteries and veins. They are very small, as some of them go to each individual cell.  Caterpillars have one celled thick walls and they carry both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood. Because Capillaries are so thin oxygen, nutrients and hormones can flow in and out.

Slam poetry

In english we have to to a Creative writing matrix. One of the thingys we have to do is slam poetry. We had to listen to three, and pick our favorite.

I'm at a tie with this one

and this one

I like the first one because, it is funny and its gay. I like the second one because it is funny and it is well presented.

I have to write two thoughtful opinions for the poetry, and support with specific evidence (quotes) from the text (at least 2) in my discussion. Hmmm............. I have no idea what to write. I liked them? I'm sorry, I can't think of anything else to say.

Sorry.

Haikus

In English we are doing a creative writing matrix. One of the options where haikus. So I did that. Here they are. Yes one is just cake written multiple times. Yes it works. Yes it is proper haiku. Yes all these answers are yes. Yes I do not care. Yes you can not change my mind. Yes I will shut up now. Yes I lied. Yes you can no longer trust me. Yes I know you are starting to get annoyed. Yes I will actually let you read the haikus now. Yes I am telling the truth. Yes I know I have kept talking. Yes I know you could just skip all of this and just read the haikus. Yes I lied again. Yes I know you now hate me. Yes I do not care. Yes I will actually shut up now.

Haikus

You can ship people
Like Klance, Stucky and Drarry.
Yes they are all gay.

Flowers are pretty
Rose, Pansy, Lilly, Daisy.
Petunias as well.

Cake cake cake cake cake
Cake cake cake cake cake cake cake
Cake cake cake cake cake

Haikus are tricky
Apollo is bad at them
Everyone hates his

School is sometimes fun
Half the time it is not though
The rest is ok

Yes I am back. Yes I will keep doing this for a while. Yes you can stop reading now. Yes I know you will not do that because you want to see what I am going to say. Yes I know that was the longest sentence. Yes I am okay. Yes I am bored. Yes I am doing this to annoy you. Yes I know it is working. Yes this is my favorite post. Yes I am having fun. Yes this is wasting my time. Yes I don't care. Yes I know you may be confused. Yes I am too. Yes I tired. Yes I am getting a kick out of this. Yes I have just disappointed everyone who knows me. Yes this is fun. Yes you should do it on one of your posts. Yes I have spent a whole hour doing this.
