WTE Sentences

 In English at the moment, we are looking at Write That Essay Sentences. These are the types and my examples of them

A Simple sentence - He creeped into the forest. 

A Very Short Sentence - The trees loomed ahead.

The Power Sentence - He knew it was a bad idea, but he had no choice.

Red White and Blue - The ground was covered in roots, rocks, and other things to trip him up.

The Adverb start - Carefully, he made his way through the trees. 

Begin with a preposition (prepositions are little words indicating movement or position) - Between the trees eyes gazed at him, watching his every move.

The -ing start - Wanting to get out of there as soon as possible, he hurried along, constantly checking behind him. 

The -ed start - Determined to complete his task, he pushed on, even as night fell.

The semicolon - Looking left and right he creeped along; Anxiety tickled at the back of his consciousness   

The em-dash - The trees - that creaked in the silence- seemed to close in on him more and more, the further he walked.

The W-Start - Whenever he tripped over a hidden root or rock, he could swear he could hear laughter, even though he knew he alone.

Explore the subject - The Forest, that people said to be haunted, seemed to stretch on forever

Persuasive writing: Should gay couples have the same adoption rights as straight couples?

LO:We are learning to express our views on a topical issue using ‘Write That Essay’ sentences.

In English we are looking at persuasive writing. We have to look at a current common political issue and decide where we stand with it, and then write three sentences about our opinion on the topic, using write that Essay sentence structures. This is mine

Interestly, LGBTQ+ couples don't have the same adoption rights as straight cis couples. Love is love; parents are parents. All a child needs is, parents, people to love them, a home.

Adverb start: Interestly, LGBTQ+ couples don't have the same adoption rights as straight cis couples.

Semi-colon: Love is love; parents are parents.

Red white and Blue :All a child needs is, parents, people to love them, a home.

we are learning about using a adverb start. An adverb start is where you use a adverb at the begging of a sentence.

adverbs: quickly, curiously, importantly, firstly, often, remarkably, similarly, significantly, surprisingly, readily, concerningly, interestingly, confusingly, consequently, shockingly, ironically.

Remarkably, Roman could see the logic in logan's decision, so he did not question it.
Confusingly, Decit told the truth.

we are learning about a preposition starters. preposition is a word that tells you the position of something

preposition words: in, against, before, between, over, behind, within, under, below, at, for, throughout, near, about.

throughout the mindscape, you could hear the yelp coming from the kitchen.
between the arguments, Logan stayed in his room while Roman watched disney.

P-  point, state the point you want to make
eg: Throughout the novel 'Abomination' martha is bullied
E- evidence, support your point with 2-3 sentences
eg; an example of this is the incident with the girls throwing water into the stall soaking martha. when she came out of the stall they punched her in the stomach and called her a slut. this made martha feel angry and upset.
E- explain, link my evidence to my point with 2-3 sentences
eg: unsurprisingly this is a exaple of phyical bulling by students toward martha. there was a impalince of power between martha and her bullies because there was one of her and three of them.
L- link, link back to your argument or to the next paragraph

starting a sentence with a word ending in -ed
eg:committed, undaunted, determined, forced, gifted, blighted, thrilled, delighted, blessed, overpowered, intimidated, slaughtered, respected, united, confronted, convicted.

Intimidated by the stare, Roman let Virgil stay in bed.
Undaunted by the storm Logan keep working.

The w start
starting a sentence with some of the w words
eg: who, whom, while, when, what, where, whereas, whilst.

While the cookies baked, Patton packed up the mess he made
When Decit showed up, everyone groaned.

While Patton waited for others to wake up, he made breakfast. Determined to be in a good mood, he sang to drown out the voices in his head. eveneraly Roman woke up to the sound of disney drifting down the hall. After sitting there for a while, he got up after hearing a crash.

P,E,E,L paragraph on imagination

Using your imagination is a great idea. While using your imagination, you are exercising your mind. After awhile, you will be able to come up with ideas quickly and efficiently.

Wild words 
I have so many fragile eggs in my car. the road I must go on i the most outrageous road I have to dive. Lots of bumps and railroads, I feel like a milkshake being busiled about. I have to so cunning on where to go you could stick a tail on me and call me a weasel. As I bump along I think of all the times this as all been a prank, a trick, something to bamboozle me. Oh how I wish this is not that.

Mum said I could do one thing today, oh how that sucks. I want to do swimming, skating (on ice or on the path), got to mega air, go to the mall and go for a hike, how can I pick just one? oh Mum you are so mean!

Precise in Everything
At 3:30 precisely I am going to be at the mall waiting for you, please be on time. We will have $200 do buy whatever we want but you must be there. If not I will give it all to my sister, Lillyan, and we both know she will only by lollys/junk food. Rosanne please be there.

Power sentence 
Kate seemed to always be late. she never was on time. Lilly was outside at 6:00pm and they had meant to meet up at 5:30pm.

Explore the subject
Rose loved marshmallow fellows, a high sugar treat full of marshmellows, cookies and pretle, even though her Mum never made it due to the amount of sugar in it

The big word Challenge
Mum loved big word much to my disgust. How could you like a word with 5000 letters? her faverit word is Methamphetamine. Ugg and she thinks I should know 1) what it means and 2) how to spell it. Why mum, why? 

Only one simple sentence
Katie loved to bake. When she did she was happy. why? When she ended up eating the baked goods of giving them away she always saw happy grins everywhere. This made her happy.

Jana loved to read, in fact she has read 200 in the last 4 years! James has only read 20, in the same time frame

W-start
Who is that? Where are they going? Will we follow them? Who knows, we could do that, we could find out out, or we could sit here. We could sit and think, about who they are, where they are going, or wheather we should follow them. we will sit and think, thats what we will do.
