We then had to write what we have done in a paragraph. Again, here is mine (Unfinshed)

In the holidays the first week or so was quite and so there is not much to say apart from the weather was bad, but everyone had that. Christmas was also a quiet affair so again not much to say. We (Mum Dad and me) left for Alexandra on the 29th or 30th of December I think(Rosa would be coming later due to work, and James decided not to come). I know we left a day earlier because the weather was to be bad in Alexandra the next day and since we were camping we didn't want to set up the caravan in the rain. It was a good thing we went when we did because the next day was the beginning of a week of rain. Now you may not know this, but Alexandra usually has an average of 30o every day. And no rain. The complete opposite of what we had. We spent most of the first week in the caravan wrapped up in blankets. We stayed up on new years playing cards with my gran who was also camping with us.

We had friends come and camp with us on the 2nd of January (Rosa came with them), and we showed them around as they had never been to alex before. It was Rosa and Gran's Birthday on the fourth of January. We opened gifts in the morning. James gave Rosa a very cute dinosaur, who was immediately named it George. we had sushi for lunch and muscles and bacon, chicken hearts and salad for dinner. My younger cousins came at some point within the next week, and stayed for a week.

We did some four wheel driving at some point. We went up to the Old Man Range in search of snow, but were unsuccessful.

Fire proofing / bush fires (They correlate I promise)

1. How do bushfires start and how has climate change made them more common?
Bushfires start when the plants have dried up because of a extended period of time, and some sort of spark ignites the plant matter. This could be from a natural course a lightning strike, rocks falling on each other causing a spark, or it could be because of humans, someone throwing a still lit cigarette butt out the window, someone not putting their campfire out probably. Climate change can make these more common because the heat can dry out the plants faster, meaning the bushfire 'season' will get longer and longer

2. What are 3 ways you could fire proof your house if you lived in an area likely to get bush fires?
Try build your house with bricks, if you can't do that use stucco to coat the outside. Use gypsum on the inside, and try to use a couple layers. Try to get fire resistant glass for you windows and have the frames steel if possible.

3. When something burns it combusts, what is the difference between complete and incomplete combustion?
The difference is that when something completely combusts it means it has burned with plenty of oxygen, and has made carbon dioxide and water. (the equation is Fuel + Oxygen --> Carbon dioxide + Water). When it incompletely combusts it means it has burned with not enough oxygen, and it makes either carbon monoxide and water or just carbon and water (the equation is Fuel + Oxygen --> Carbon Monoxide + Water or Fuel + Oxygen --> Carbon + Water)

Home Economics culture unit

In Home Economics this term, we have been doing a culture unit where we researched a country we knew little to no information on, and found out their culture around food edicate. This is what me and my group did. I'm sorry if there are unfinished slides, I had absolutely no help with it as my group was constily away and never did any work (Yes I am salty, and pissed, no I do not care) Enjoy.

Evaluation. (I know this is on the slides, I'm just petty)
Strengths: We got the work done, and to a decent quality.
Weakness: People not showing up to class leaving me to do all the work, by myself.
Improvements: Come to class, or at least do the work in your own time. and not leaving it all on flipping person!

Persuasive writing: Should gay couples have the same adoption rights as straight couples?

LO:We are learning to express our views on a topical issue using ‘Write That Essay’ sentences.

In English we are looking at persuasive writing. We have to look at a current common political issue and decide where we stand with it, and then write three sentences about our opinion on the topic, using write that Essay sentence structures. This is mine

Interestly, LGBTQ+ couples don't have the same adoption rights as straight cis couples. Love is love; parents are parents. All a child needs is, parents, people to love them, a home.

Adverb start: Interestly, LGBTQ+ couples don't have the same adoption rights as straight cis couples.

Semi-colon: Love is love; parents are parents.

Red white and Blue :All a child needs is, parents, people to love them, a home.

DTE

In  DTE we have been doing a sphero project were we get given a sphero, and told, go make something. Me and my group decided to make a race track, and have the spheros race around that. That has not gone well.

We started with 'research' and wasted a couple of periods until I got sick of not being told what to do, and decided to actually get some work done, so I started to make a track. Braydon then started with the coding. After a while we realized that something was wrong. Every time we ran the code, even without changing it, the outcome would change. Under turn the corner, then the next time over turn. So we spent the next three and a half weeks trying to fix the coding (We still haven't sorting that out) Mr Carter then told us we had to redo the track because it looked like, and I quote "like some my drunk uncle would make." So we re-did the track, making some changes, most noticeably the corners. We used to have rounded corners, but we decide that sharp 90o would be better. We then took it to the art space to paint it. We took the next three days to paint it.

Evidence/pictures of our work will come soon

Personal thoughts

I have not enjoyed it all that much.  Things not going right, people not doing as they are told (*CoughcoughboysCoughcough*) Sorry had to clear my throat. I will amit, it had merit, it was a good(ish) idea, and had it worked, it would have been quite cool. We just didn't execute it well.
